About Dr. Devesh Vashishtha

I’m Dr. Devesh, a board-certified family physician, behavioral health advisor, San Diego homeowner, youth soccer coach, husband and father of two. I’ve devoted my life to healing families and strengthening communities. My wife and I are raising our children here in Rancho Peñasquitos, where we mentor youth and support civic and cultural institutions.

I serve as a primary care physician in the community health setting where I care for working families of all ages. I also perform and teach Indian classical vocal music in San Diego and serve on multiple state and county-wide health policy committees.

I believe every San Diego family deserves access to an affordable home, a safe walkable neighborhood, and quality schools. My dream for our region is that we become more connected, less isolated, and that we build further trust and engagement in local government.
